Designa Tiles is Queenstown’s leading company for the supply and installation of Tiles in Commercial and Residential projects.

We currently have a full-time position available for a Customer Relations Superstar in our Gorge Rd showroom

The Role:

We require a person with passion and flair for colour and design. A drive to succeed and a motivation to meet and exceed customers’ expectations for service and design. As this is often a stressful time for our clients – being able to stay patient and positive during the selection process is important. You will need to take charge of the selections and follow through paperwork and customer relations with the client until completion of the job

As the face of our business, this role requires exceptional customer service skills, impeccable presentation and an outgoing easily approachable personality.

Responsibilities:         

  • Responsible for working with clients to assist with colour selections to create concepts for the project at hand
  • Ensuring selections are in line with and contract or tender requirements
  • Store presentation, cleanliness and visual merchandising
  • Measuring plans and quoting extras and upgrades
  • Accurate maintenance of client files
  • Liaise with estimating, subbies and the warehouse to ensure smooth work flow
  • Building a business relationship with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Handling phone and email enquiries
  • Arranging orders and deliveries of goods to customers
  • Cash handling invoicing and purchasing products
  • End of month Sales Reporting

 Experience:     

  • Proven track record in showroom sales and customer service
  • A passion for interior design and colour selection. A qualification in this area would be an advantage
  • Previous experience in the building industry would be an advantage
  • High attention to detail, excellent computer skills
  • High competency in Maths (must be able to read /measure plans)
  • Have confidence to build relationships
  • Great English Communication skills to enable high level discussions with clients, subbies and staff
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Highly motivated to work in high pressure fast paced environment
  • Must have an NZ driving licence
  • This is a long-term position so NZ residency is a must
  • There will be some heavy lifting required

 

This is a rewarding, but challenging position. This full-time role does demand working hours outside the standard week with work on Sat a.m. once every third week. A salary of up to $52,000 p.a. plus a bonus, the use of a company vehicle during work hours plus Kiwisaver and other benefits reflects the importance of this role to the company. A mobile phone, computer and company apparel will also be made available
