Transforming a former basement single garage, designer Andrea Burney made the most of the space by introducing a multi-purpose guest room/rumpus/study complete with small ensuite to be a self-contained retreat for visiting family & friends. She decided to work with, instead of against, the lack of natural light in the ensuite by opting for the dramatic Black Gloss Hexagon mosaic tile on the vanity wall, flowing down to the charcoal Milano Steel Matt tile on the floor as a seamless transition from the charcoal carpet in the living area. The sparkle of the gloss tile and strategic lighting brings life to the small space, and lent itself well to being framed by a black cavity sliding door to add to the dramatic reveal behind.
Tiles Featured: Black Gloss Hex mosaic with black grout to vanity wall; 300x600mm Milano Matt Steel floor.
