At Tile Warehouse, what tiles have been most popular this year?
Moroccan: Whether on the floor or the wall Moroccan-look tiles are the perfect accent tile in any room! Either in soft subtle hues or bold contrasting colours, the intricate patterns available offer visual interest in any monochromatic setting. Patterned tiles are expanding in popularity, from splashback to flooring options as they really give homeowners the chance to tap into their creative side (or hire a designer to get creative for them)!
It may look like historic anaglypta wallpaper or modern waves or ridges, but dimensional tile is definitely trending.
Tile imitating concrete coating, known as Terrazzo, has gained popularity. each piece offers a real interplay of colours that capture and reflect light, enhancing homes and commercial spaces. Terrazzo dates back to ancient Greece, when the floor was laid out with pebbles and then cemented. In this case, natural materials were used: limestone, marble, glass, stone. Today, such a floor can be seen in both residential and commercial buildings across the world!
If you love this style of design, it's a fabulous way to create a fresh look that may not date a space as easily as other trends.
Since we spend so much time indoors, a touch of greenery can add the benefits of biophilia to a room. One of this year’s tile collections features vines, fronts, flowers and other flora, rendered in beautiful colors. This characteristic style is gaining more and more prominence in places of leisure and restoration.

Timber has long been a coveted look for floors, but has the added worry of damage from pets, high heels and scratches from sharp objects, along with fading and water absorption. It is also a product that requires regular maintenance.
Porcelain wood-grain tiles however are perfect for the whole house, including wet areas and floors in sunny spaces. They offer greater stain and water resistance without sacrificing design aesthetics and unlike many forms of flooring, are also compatible with under-floor heating.
Designed to be a modern take on hardwood floors, this tile trend has inspired a variety of looks with a range of sizes, colours and finishes. Tile Warehouse has a substantial range of timber tile options...CLICK here to view!
Timber-look tile ranges with decorative variations of design and dimension like Tavola and Luthier are incredibly popular and featuring in most designer’s schemes these days. The latest styles add texture and interesting patterns, and can go in wet spaces like bath surrounds and shower stalls that real wood and LVT flooring, cannot.
Imitation of the texture of natural wood is seriously worthwhile investigating, especially the ranges we sell as they can only be distinguished by touch from counterparts!

Are any tiles going out of style in 2020?
We have noticed a reduction in interest in concrete-look tiles, particularly for bathrooms. Aggregate concretes are no longer the go-to for consumers, they are, as mentioned above, heading towards whiter options.
